Interview Advice

Securing your dream job is one step away from presenting yourself really effectively in an interview, be it face to face or via telephone. Some key pointers when preparing for an interview:

1. Research as much as possible about the company                  
   1. Website
   2. Press releases
   3. Company financials
2. Background research on the individual who will interview you
   1. Have you seen their LinkedIn profile?
   2. Get your recruiter to prepare you
3. Understanding of the job spec
4. SWOT analysis of the company- It is a good idea to prepare a SWOT in advance.
5. Practice running through your CV in a structured manner ,  clearly explaining each and every role you have been in, your key achievements and reasons why you moved from one role to another
6. Remember the  good old STAR technique

8. Have questions ready to ask them back.
   1. What are you expansion plans?
   2. What does a typical day look like?
   3. What’s your culture like?
9. Dress code!-  It is general practice to dress smartly but companies , especially fashion businesses have their own dress code. Do not be hesitant to ask what’s their dress code.
